Ever dance with the devil,
In the pale moonlight,
As he comes up from the darkness,
And stands right by your side,
Your swept up by the power,
That exudes as you both dance,
You weren't sure if you should,
But you couldn't take the chance,
So you twirl around together,
And you wonder what's to come,
Will you live forever,
Or will your life be done,
Then the devil whispers to you,
He whispers in your ear,
You strain to listen over the music,
To make sure that you hear,
He tells you that he's on holiday,
That there's no reason to fear,
He isn't here to hurt you,
In this night that is so clear,
But why you ask the devil,
Have you got time for a break,
Don't you have evil deeds to do,
Many souls yet to take,
He laughs aloud so heartily,
It chills you in your bones,
As if the arctic winter,
Was exiting his throat,
I have plenty of time to party,
With humans so beserk,
I don't have to do anything,
You complete all my work,
All on your own you do it,
You kill and strip the land,
Devoid of concience are humans,
The mighty race of man,
So here I am to party,
No work for me to do,
The humans do it by themselves,
Until their time is through,
You gasp as you hear his words,
Under such a starry night,
Then you shrug in agreement,
As you realise that he is right.
The devil doesn't have to work,
He doesn't have to even try,
We do all his work for him,
Until the day we die.
