To sit on the edge of forever,
And see beyond your dreams,
You can almost forget the noise,
Of all the human screams,
The ones that have nothing else to do,
But cry till they fall asleep,
Due to poverty or destruction,
Of the world just at their feet,
How honored we must be,
To sit in our silver towers,
Looking down on them from afar,
Like we sometimes do for hours,
When all it would take to fix it,
So they were no longer in so much pain,
Is a little bit of money to share,
To feed and clothe them again,
If we spent less on ourselves,
And more on renewable power,
We'd be helping solve the problems,
Not making them worse by the hour,
There's so much more to life,
Than what you can go out and buy,
Maybe one day you'll see it for yourself,
Go out and give it a try.

Lessons Learned.
Think twice,
Act once,
Don't be,
The classroom dunce,
Be yourself,
Live free,
Don't hold back,
What might be,
Hold tight,
The ride gets rough,
But never give up,
You gotta hang tough,
See your goals,
See them through,
And always remember,
To yourself be true.

Transcend.
Can you see outside your limits,
Into the vastness of space,
See the true divinity,
Or just mans disgrace,
Can you see inside yourself,
Deep inside your mind,
Or dare you not look,
In case of what you'll find,
Have you ever felt yourself fall,
and wanted to keep going,
To see what's at the bottom,
Can't go on without knowing,
Or do you falter at the edge,
Too scared to ever let go,
Afraid of what you feel,
The doubt you already know,
Have you ever really been free,
Or do you live locked in a shell,
Prisoner in your own body,
Your own personal hell,
Live free of fears and doubt,
Show the world what you can do,
Let them all see your true self,
Before your time is through.

Letter from Tasmania to The World.
There's plenty of ways Tasmania could be a world leader. Green energy from Wind or Solar would be a good start. Nichols Chicken has shown all businesses the right path, with their wind powered factory. It may not be 100% wind power but it's a good start, and with 1 more wind turbine it could be making money from the extra power.
I hope everyone who owns their home took advantage of the solar rebates while they were available. If each house had 5 metres of solar panels and a battery backup built in, and setup to run back to the grid any excess power, you would not need to pay a power bill, and we would only need minimal power production for night time.
As for vehicles I think electric plug in cars are good for short trips, but for longer travel we need Hydrogen Fuel Cell cars like the one Honda made. James May drove it on Top Gear in the states. Before that can happen though, we need more renewable power to make the Hydrogen so it's Zero Impact to the environment. Till then vehicles like the Electron and the EV Capri are showing us the right direction. If car manufacturers don't smarten up their act soon, I think most people will just make their own, or pay someone to do it for them. I like my 6 cylinder Falcon, but Direct Torque Electric would be so much better, and a lot less in fuel. I think then I might enjoy driving again, instead of just counting the costs.

CHROME.
Concealed inside this reflection,
Have you ever seen yourself for real,
Random thoughts pose questions,
Of whether what your viewing can feel,
Maybe your just in someones head,
Eventually to be forgotten and concealed.

Pathos
This.
This and that,
Goes through my mind,
I think about it all,
Of wars and bombs,
And modern tech,
It makes one feel so small,
I ponder what our future holds,
If humans will make it,
It's hard to see our path,
We've stolen all the cobblestones,
And sold them on eBay,
We even made off with the grass,
We wonder why the worlds changing,
And some of it's our fault,
Though maybe not as much as we think,
The world is going to outlast us,
By a very long way,
So this is yet another brink,
But like always the world will make it,
A little battered and bruised,
And with fewer of us here to pollute,
Almost makes you want to see that now,
To see a world without us ruining it,
Now that would be just beaut.

Swan Song.
When the end creeps closer,
And the sun goes down,
Ready to end the day,
With grace and a smile,
You will know what peace is,
And you'll no longer fear,
There's no more to worry about,
The angel of death is here,
He seems more gentle,
Than what you had imagined,
A calm flows over your emotions,
As you follow him along,
Opening to a serenity,
A place you'll not want to leave,
A wish for those you leave behind,
That they don't hurt too much to see,
The light that shows the way,
To the place you hope someday they'll find,
Not the thoughts of loss and anguish,
That now cloud up their mind,
The hope that someday they will find you,
They'll no longer have to wait,
When they see you standing silent,
Waiting for them next to a pearly gate.

The Cycle.
The family gathers,
By their side,
A somber mood from all,
A loved one waits,
By St Peters gates,
Until he gets the call,
So many people,
Come and go,
This life it was so loved,
Free of will they come by,
To pay respects,
Nobody pushed or shoved,
A life lived well,
They all agree,
An innings to be proud of,
Seen and done,
So much while here,
Of this could be no doubt of,
But now they lay,
Silent in bed,
As the reaper makes his round,
All at once,
A sigh of release,
As the sickle comes on down,
A quiet moment,
Before the wail,
To say they're on their way,
Fret not the sickle fall,
They'd say to all,
For I have had my day,
To all those left behind,
Fear not the end,
One day it'll be our turn,
Live your life free of fear,
Of the end that is near,
Let the light in your soul eternally burn.

Inspired by the many visitors day after day as a man in palliative care, ebbed closer to the end. May he rest in peace. He died while I was writing this poem.

Innocence lost,
Innocence taken,
One for love,
One forsaken,
Careful the path,
On which you travel,
Choose the right way,
Lest life unravel,
The darkness it hides,
Inside us all,
Obscured by light,
Even if small,
Choices we make,
Can be our friend,
Or soon lead us,
To our end,
Love is the savior,
The true path of light,
Follow it home,
Be safe from night.
