The Edge.

To sit on the edge of forever,
And see beyond your dreams,
You can almost forget the noise,
Of all the human screams,

The ones that have nothing else to do,
But cry till they fall asleep,
Due to poverty or destruction,
Of the world just at their feet,

How honored we must be,
To sit in our silver towers,
Looking down on them from afar,
Like we sometimes do for hours,

When all it would take to fix it,
So they were no longer in so much pain,
Is a little bit of money to share,
To feed and clothe them again,

If we spent less on ourselves,
And more on renewable power,
We'd be helping solve the problems,
Not making them worse by the hour,

There's so much more to life,
Than what you can go out and buy,
Maybe one day you'll see it for yourself,
Go out and give it a try.

Lessons Learned.

Think twice,
Act once,
Don't be,
The classroom dunce,

Be yourself,
Live free,
Don't hold back,
What might be,

Hold tight,
The ride gets rough,
But never give up,
You gotta hang tough,

See your goals,
See them through,
And always remember,
To yourself be true.

Pathos

Transcend.

Can you see outside your limits,
Into the vastness of space,
See the true divinity,
Or just mans disgrace,

Can you see inside yourself,
Deep inside your mind,
Or dare you not look,
In case of what you'll find,

Have you ever felt yourself fall,
and wanted to keep going,
To see what's at the bottom,
Can't go on without knowing,

Or do you falter at the edge,
Too scared to ever let go,
Afraid of what you feel,
The doubt you already know,

Have you ever really been free,
Or do you live locked in a shell,
Prisoner in your own body,
Your own personal hell,

Live free of fears and doubt,
Show the world what you can do,
Let them all see your true self,
Before your time is through.
